Why Dubai?
Zero Tax Haven
Dubai operates on a zero-tax model for most business activities. This means no corporate tax, no income tax, and no capital gains tax. Structure your business in a globally respected jurisdiction built for maximum profitability and capital retention.
The Epicenter of Global Business
Strategically located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, Dubai offers world-class infrastructure, unparalleled connectivity, and a pro-business government. A Dubai Free Zone company enjoys a higher reputation with international banks and clients compared to other Emirates, giving your venture immediate credibility.
Absolute Financial Privacy
The UAE is not a signatory to the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). This means financial institutions in Dubai do not automatically exchange your personal or corporate account information with foreign tax authorities. This offers an unparalleled layer of financial privacy and asset protection for residents.
Choosing Your Path: Free Zone vs. Mainland (Onshore)
Understanding the right jurisdiction is the first step in your Dubai venture. Your choice depends entirely on your business model and target market.
Free Zone Company
100% foreign ownership is standard
Can trade internationally and within the designated free zone
Direct trade in the UAE market requires a local distributor
Generally 0% corporate tax for qualifying income (varies by free zone)
Flexible office options: virtual offices, flexi-desks, shared spaces
Governed by the rules of the specific Free Zone Authority (e.g., DMCC, IFZA)
Mainland (Onshore) Company
Typically requires a UAE National Local Service Agent for professional licenses
Can trade directly and freely anywhere within the UAE and internationally
Subject to 9% UAE Corporate Tax on taxable income above 375,000 AED
Requires a physical office space with an official tenancy contract (Ejari)
Governed by the Department of Economic Development (DED) and federal laws
Business & Visa Landscape: Dubai’s Strategic Advantage
Dubai Free Zone Company (FZCO)
Your company will be registered as a Free Zone Company (FZCO), a structure similar to a European GmbH or a UK Ltd. This model provides significant benefits:
100% Foreign Ownership: You retain full control of your business without the need for a local partner.
No Paid-Up Share Capital: The share capital is nominal and does not need to be physically deposited, reducing initial setup costs.
Remote Setup: The entire company formation process can be completed from anywhere in the world.
Premier Corporate Banking: A Dubai Free Zone license is highly regarded by financial institutions, granting you access to robust corporate bank accounts with multi-currency options and online banking. We provide full guidance, and an optional hands-on banking assistance package is available.
UAE Residence Visa
Your company formation includes eligibility for a UAE Residence Visa, which is your key to unlocking Dubai’s benefits:
Absolute Financial Privacy (No CRS): Securing UAE residency grants you a non-CRS status. This means your personal and corporate bank account information is not automatically shared with your home country's tax authorities, ensuring an unparalleled level of financial confidentiality.
Efficient In-Country Process: While the company setup is remote, the final visa stamping is done in person. Dubai's advanced "Out of Country" application system means the required time in Dubai is only 3-5 working days, compared to 15+ days in other Emirates.
2-Year Renewable Visa: Your residence visa is valid for two years and can be easily renewed as long as your company remains active.
Flexible Stay Requirements: To maintain visa validity, you are required to enter the UAE at least once every 180 days.
Investor Visa Upgrade
For maximum travel flexibility, upgrade to an Investor Visa for an additional fee of £750 GBP. This extends the stay-out period, requiring you to enter the UAE only once every 365 days.
